About Oshan:

Oshan Cook believes in living a life of service and has dedicated his life to benefit all sentient beings. He wants nothing more than the upliftment of human culture, to promote healing and community and for human beings to live in peace and in harmony with the earth.

Oshan has spent most of his life involved with community building, healing, volunteering for non-profits and social activism.

Om Shan Tea has a teahouse in San Francisco where gourmet tea service, organic foods, and cultural events are offered to inspire healing, conscious community and holistic wellness.

In addition to the teahouse, Om Shan Tea runs a mobile tea service, setting up tea temples at many conferences, festivals, parties, nightclubs, weddings and other cultural events.

Oshan also spends much of his time educating people about tea culture and it's benefits for health and society. He also teaches school children of all ages about tea ceremony and advocates for tea culture as an alternative to drug and alchohol abuse.

About Oshan's Legal Situation:

Oshan Cook is in a federal felony legal case, accused of allegedly distributing psychedelics.

The charges he is currently facing have a mandatory minimum charge of 10 years in prison and a recommended sentence of 10-15 years in prison.

These charges have absolutely nothing to do with Oshan's business, Om Shan Tea. The charges are only allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Oshan's Lawyer Doron Weinberg, filed a "Motion to Exclude Evidence" which was denied by Judge Jeffrey S. White (SF Federal District) on December 22nd, 2011. The AUSA (Prosecutor) Chinhayi Cadet has so far only offered an unguaranteed 7-9 year plea bargain offer.

Oshan has set for a Jury Trial beginning on July 23rd, 2012. The trial will likely last 3-5 days. It's very important that friends and allies of Oshan come to show support during trial. Please don't show up with out clearing with us first.

If Oshan loses at trial he would face a minimum of 10 years in prison.

Oshan needs to raise another $13,000 for trial lawyer fees.

Courtroom Support
